Green Bazaar (Kök Bazar) is one of Almaty’s most popular and vibrant markets, located in the city center. Established in 1868, it combines rich history, traditions, and modern infrastructure. The current building was constructed in 1975 and renovated in 2017, making it comfortable and convenient for visitors.
The market offers a wide variety of goods: fresh fruits and vegetables, spices, meat, fish, dairy products, as well as textiles and souvenirs. Special highlights include Eastern delicacies and products from neighboring countries. The atmosphere is a true Eastern fairy tale, with vendors often offering samples right on the spot.
