Kok-Tobe Park is one of Almaty's main attractions, located atop the mountain of the same name at an altitude of 1,100 meters above sea level. You can reach the park via a scenic 1,620-meter-long cable car that starts in the city center and offers breathtaking views of Almaty and the Zailiysky Alatau mountains.
The park features a wide range of family-friendly entertainment: amusement rides, a Ferris wheel, rope park, climbing wall, mini-zoo, and children’s playgrounds. One of its highlights is the famous monument to The Beatles — the first of its kind in the CIS, unveiled in 2007.
There are also several restaurants and cafes on-site, including "Yurta," a traditional Kazakh-style restaurant offering local cuisine. The park’s observation decks provide stunning panoramic views of the city and surrounding mountains, especially at sunset.
Kok-Tobe Park is open year-round and is a perfect spot for relaxation, leisurely walks, and enjoying nature within city limits.
