Mountain resort Shymbulak is one of the highest and most modern ski resorts in Central Asia, located in the Zailiysky Alatau mountains, just 25 km from Almaty. The resort's elevation ranges from 2,260 to 3,200 meters above sea level, making it one of the highest in the world.
The ski season lasts from November to April, thanks to stable snow cover and over 300 sunny days per year. The resort offers more than 20 km of slopes for all skill levels and 7 modern lifts, including a cable car connecting to Medeo.
